33 Weeks and Counting

We are getting down to the final 6 weeks of this pregnancy. Baby Williams is just fine and moving like crazy! She still has hiccups all the time and she doesn't like things touching my stomach, so she will push on the seat belt EVERY TIME I get in the car and she hates when I rest a book or my coffee on my belly. Her room is filled with all the beautiful things we got at the showers plus furniture that belonged to her cousins Haven and Abby, decorations that belonged to her cousin Natalie, and many toys from her soon to be best buddy, Owen. Hopefully we can get some video/pictures up soon!

31 Week 3D ultrasound

Here is a picture of baby Williams at 31 weeks. So far everything is going well...she is even measuring a bit bigger than most babies at this week in the pregnancy! This isn't a clear picture because her little head is wedged between the wall of the uterus and the placenta, but there is a definite eye, nose, and mouth (with nice, full lips!). She moves CONSTANTLY and has the hiccups at least 4 times a day. Our next shower is this Sunday, so more pictures to come!!

30 weeks

Well, we have made it to 30 weeks! I am feeling rather large and missing my old clothes. I had to go get some fake wedding rings, too. When I took mine off, it ripped the skin! We are both getting very excited, especially since we have been receiving gifts...On Friday my students threw me a surprise baby shower and got me a toy box and all 25 had a gift for me to unwrap to go inside. Then my cousin Hope gave us a diaper cake with the cutest little socks and booties and other goodies. My first shower is tomorrow, so more pictures to come!
Baby Williams is doing fine. We seem to think she has some of my behaviors including me not liking my personal space invaded...anytime something is resting on my belly, she wants to kick it away. My arm, a bowl, a cup, and even seat belts...little does she know I AM her personal space. We are still being monitored every Monday afternoon and things are going very well.

Fetal Update

Just to let everyone know why we have a poll going on the due date of the baby...I started fetal evaluations on Tuesday. The doctor said it is to make sure the baby is getting enough oxygen. So they hook me up to a fetal heartbeat monitor and a contraction monitor for 30 minutes. When I got there, the nurse said that I would probably feel about 2 movements in 20 minutes, so she gave me a button to push every time I felt the baby move. They were looking for her heart rate to increase by 10 beats per minute when she was active. By the end of the test, she had moved 25 times...which was a VERY active baby! The nurse said she definitely passed her test.

After taking a look at the contraction monitor, she looked concerned and asked me if I had any pain in my stomach or lower back. I said no, and she said I had 6 contractions in the 30 minutes I was being monitored. She said they were every 5 minutes and were lasting 30-40 seconds. She sent me straight to my doctor, who checked everything, and found nothing.

The doctor is thinking that because I am so small and she is moving like a crazy baby, she just might be irritating the uterus enough to contract when she is very active. However, the fact that I am contracting makes the chances increase that I will deliver early. I go back on Monday and they will do the same test again. Hopefully I'm not contracting anymore!!
New Bedroom!!

So, I'll be the first to admit I've been crazy with the cleaning/organizing around the house. I have an entire cleaning schedule mapped out, typed, printed, and hanging on my refrigerator for what needs to be done each week until her due date. Last week was clean our bedroom week, but I decided that I hated the color of our room and wanted new paint, curtains, and wall hangings. Josh, at first, said no, but I WON! Here are some pictures of our new, beautiful bedroom!!! FYI- the bedroom was lime green with beaded green curtains...
